The Buccaneers are Scary, and They're Playing as Good as Crab Legs Taste

Famous Jameis and the Buccaneers are on a roll. Winners of 5 of their last 6 games, they could potentially challenge Atlanta for the NFC South. Tampa Bay is playing just as well as anyone in the NFL, and their peaking at the perfect time. The Buc's defense has been on fire, and have forced a ridiculous 12 take aways in their last 6 games. The stretch run is here, and the Buccaneers are well prepared to make a post season run.
The Tampa Bay offense hasn't been at any way shape or form good during this 6 game stretch for Tampa. In fact, it probably looks worse than at the beginning of the season. Katy Perry's hit single "Hot or cold" is the most accurate description of Jameis Winston. When he's hot, this offense can take it to another notch like in the season opener against Atlanta. When he's cold, he'll throw enough picks for every fan in the stadium. The thing is though, Tampa's offense is doing just enough to help them win games. This team doesn't need 20+ points to win, they're a team who can grind out ugly low scoring games. With the return of Doug Martin, and Mike Evans destroying corners on the outside this team offense is perfect for December football. If The Muscle Hamster can run the ball effectively and keep Jameis from having to throw a lot, this offense can be good enough to get wins with.
Tampa's defense has been surprisingly good down the stretch. Coming into the season, no one would've thought that then Bucs' defensive unit would be carrying them to wins. In part it's because Lavonte David is playing out of his mind, and Robert Ayers has gotten healthy and provided some pressure on the edge. Even Tampa's secondary which is probably among one of the worst in the league has been able to provide the offense with more possessions off turnovers. That's pretty mind boggling to me. This defense has destroyed any expectations I had coming in the season. I mean when you have a guy who was jettisoned from the Bears because he was too bad at playing football getting pick 6's for your team it'd be cause for a Jim Nantz style orgasm:
The Buccaneers aren't playing spectacular football by any means. The thing is though, they're peaking when it matters the most. This is the best the Buccaneers have looked since Jon Gruden was coaching in Tampa, and they have a serious shot at winning a playoff game. As long as Jameis isn't making poor decisions and turning the ball over, this team is good enough to compete with anyone come January. The defense is frisky, and the offense is just good enough. What don't you love about this team heading into the playoffs? Jameis and company are primed to make a run this year, and you can bet your ass if they win a playoff game everybody gets some crab legs, and it's on Jameis.
